Ministry in Moscow, Russia is complicated.
The weather gets cold quickly heading into the Fall months, and Christians must interact with the cold harsh social environment sharing the gospel.
Many Russians keep to themselves in an environment where drawing attention to oneself is counterproductive. The cost of living is high, so it is common for men and women to work late into the evening to pay the rent. Some Russians struggle with alcoholism and substance abuse to cope.
Praise God!! In the middle of this harsh environment, believers are standing up to shine the Light of the Gospel.
Yuri Skuratov is the Russian Director for Chosen to Speak. He recently published the training in Russian and distributed this to a conference of pastors.
Multiple coaches are reaching out each month to men, women, and young people. More than just the U.S. online team, Russians are ministering to Russians in person.

“We are challenging our disciples to witness,” affirms Yuri . “Let’s pray that every one of us will bring someone to know our Savior this year.”
Kathleen Reed has been equipping Russian leaders for over two years.
“I grew up during the Cold War with Russia,” reports Kathleen,” when all we could do as Americans was pray for the people behind the Iron Curtain and those smuggling Bibles. It never occurred to me that the love God planted in my heart for the Russian people when I was just a little girl would someday result in a ministry that directly impacts women and families in Russia.”
“Through Chosen to Speak,” Kathleen continues, “We are able to identify and cultivate business, ministry and community leaders, and help them find their unique voice, to boldly declare their message and advance their causes. Today I am working with a variety of leaders, providing tools, practical resources, prayer support, encouragement and advocacy, as they launch their own videos, groups, in-person gatherings, etc. It is so gratifying to learn from them, to see how they are implementing what they’re learning, and to know that God was working then and is working now to bring people together across geographic, political and cultural lines to advance His Kingdom.”
