Kenya –
Praise God– For the first time ever, CTS Kenya is offering a new missions class for developing church planters in Southern Kenya. The association of 100 churches requested more leadership training and development for their pastors and leaders, and Nathan Oloumu will step up to lead and teach the new class.
Two monthly classes begin in September with the second week devoted to Chosen to Speak (in Massai) and the fourth week of the month will be devoted to Chosen to Plant in raising up church planters.
“This is going to be a great opportunity for Southern Kenya because it will help leaders to understand their role in reaching out to make disciples for Christ,” reports Nathan. “And many Christians will come to understand that there is a way for them to share the gospel with their families, friends and with their communities as well.”
Currently in this Southern Sector of Kajiado, Kenya, church leaders are underserved with little access to leadership training. Prayer requests from Kenya:
- For the Lord’s church to continue growing
- For the resources needed to reach more souls with the gospel
- For God to bring receptive people into our way
- For our coaching and church planting ministry to stand strong
- For our family (physical and spiritual covering)
Russia –
Praise God—the printed version of Chosen to Speak in Russia is finally being published!! Sergey Pankin will be distributing the book at a Russian leadership conference the first weekend in September to make this available to pastors and leaders in both urban and rural Russian. Pray that some pastors will be drawn to our ministry so that we can strengthen developing leaders in Russia to share the Word with confidence!!
Cuba –
Praise God in a climate where pastors are getting arrested and churches being torn down, our CTS Cuba team is hidden under the radar empowering leaders to share the gospel with authority. Pray for safety for our team and for new students to embrace their calling.
Brazil –
Praise God for faithfulness. Continue to pray for Ray Lustosa translating our pathway into Portuguese.
United States –
Praise God for our willing team of coaches willing to serve the domestic Body of Christ by coming alongside churches to empower leaders with a stronger voice. Pray for more ministry doors to open this coming semester.
